Nipissing Transition House
Helping abused women and their children, living in North Bay and Nipissing District, rebuild their lives.

Nipissing Transition House is committed to helping abused women and their children, living in North Bay and Nipissing District, rebuild their lives. By working together as a shelter team and in partnership with our community, we work hard to ensure that women and children have a safe and supportive place to turn to when home is no longer an option.
Nipissing Transition House provides certain core services: Emergency Shelter, Crisis Support Counselling, and Transitional Housing Support. Emergency Shelter is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and includes telephone support. Crisis Support Counselling provides ongoing emotional support and education to women fleeing abuse and the Transitional Housing Support Program serves to assist women with finding and maintaining housing.
Nipissing Transition House is an active community partner, participating in education and initiatives that raise awareness on the devastating impacts of domestic violence. The shelter works to be a presence in the community so that women know where to turn when they need help.
Services are available in French and English. Limited interpreter services are also available. All services are free of charge and confidential.
